Assignments 10-18-19

Animation 1:

Please complete the first photoshop assignment that we started yesterday (Image Sizes). Make sure to save your work and turn in a copy of your work to the Dropbox folder on Google Drive.

When the first assignment is done, go on to the 2nd assignment, Cover Page. This is a short assignment and you should be able to finish it today.

Animation 2:

Please start working on Arms and Legs in Unit 09. You'll have today and Monday to complete the work.

Animation 3:

Keep working on your portfolio! I'll try and get to some feedback from home today. I am so excited about the fantastic projects y'all are working on! 

Yearbook:

I'd like each person in class to make up a table of contents in Google Docs. The layout and design is not important at this time. I'd like to see how many pages each of you dedicate to each particular section. The more ideas we have the better the final decision will be.

I took the layout that Sarafina, Maggie, Vera, and Kaleb created and put it in the ladder in Pixami. This is what it looks like:

Now I want you to build on this template. Go to Google Drive. Click on _Yearbook 2019-2020, then go to Documents, then click on Templates. Right click on Table of Contents - Template and make a copy of the document. Rename the document so that your name is in the title. Now modify the template to reflect how you think we should organize the pages. Leave the Class Pictures section alone. We will need 12 pages per grade and then 36 pages for 12th grade. The rest is up to you to figure out.

If you want to look at the page layouts that y'all created (on paper) this week they are in the Templates folder. Check for:

I also put the original paper copies on the back counter.

If you finish early, you can edit pictures in Lightroom. Sarafina, Kaleb, and Vera, I copied pictures from the rally to your computers. Check the shared folder in your Finder. Click on Yearbook.

Assignments 10-09-19

Animation 1:

Please continue working on your Sketchbook drawing project that you started this week. You have until Friday to complete the piece.

Animation 2:

As I said in class on Tuesday you are going to animate a bouncing box. Don't forget that you need to think about timing, squash and stretch, and slow in/slow out. If you need help jogging your memory I put a video tutorial in the 4th Period - Dropbox on Google Drive. The title of the video is __Bouncing Ball Loop.

If you complete this assignment early you can start working on Unit 09. The entire folder is in the dropbox.

Animation 3:

Keep working on your portfolio! Remember this is your time to grow and improve. I've seen so much great work coming out of this class. Keep it up!

Yearbook:

Check your OUSD email. I sent you login info for Pixami. Sign in, start working on your sections. Don't be afraid to make mistakes, these sections are just practice. I expect to see some trial pages completed by the end of the class period.

Assignments: 10/4/19

Animation 1:

Please work on "Angles Part A and B" in class today. If you need the video check the Dropbox folder on Google drive. You can download the video to your computer--you do not need watch it in the web browser.

Animation 2:

Please continue the film we started yesterday. The login on the computer is student, and the password is student. Anyone can turn on the computer and projector and get the film started.

Animation 3:

There is an assembly during 2nd and 3rd period. A representative from Academy of Art University will be in the auditorium at the upper campus to talk about the school. This is a mandatory activity. Your attendance for 3rd period will be excused.

Yearbook:

Today I want y'all to take a closer look at Plicbooks and Pixami. You can divide up the work by assigning different sections of the videos to different members of the group. Then you can share out what you learned. Once the discussion is over, vote for the software that you prefer.

Hello Students,

Today I am working on professional development and curriculum. Please work in class on the assignment to the best of your ability. If you have a question try and ask a classmate for assistance.

Animation 1:

You should be working on "Characters with Line," in Unit 03 of Sketchbook.

Animation 2:

You should be working on drawing Finn in 3D or your second animation assignment.

Animation 3:

Continue working on your portfolio pieces. I will be back on Wednesday to continue one on one meetings.

Yearbook:

Please continue the photo critique that we started on Monday. I'd like to go out again on Wednesday and take more pictures but the critique needs to be complete before the next photo session.
